The American University of Beirut has signed a collaboration agreement with Naseej, the Arab world’s leading knowledge management solutions provider, to license, implement and support Evisions’ Argos reporting system. Argos assists students and faculty to meet all their reporting needs – from providing answers to simple, ad-hoc queries, to developing advanced dashboards with the interactive charts and data cubes associated with the current system of student information, Banner. In addition, Argos offers full support for Arabic-language users.
Engineer Abduljabbar Al-Abduljabbar, Chief Executive Officer of Naseej, said: “We are delighted that the American University of Beirut has taken this step. Evisions Argos’s advanced, interactive tools will enrich its educational system and deliver insights that will enable the university to make more timely and better-informed decisions. The Argos reporting system will increase data reliability and facilitate a more automated flow of information within the university's preferred data ecosystem. Moreover, it ensures more efficient and flexible delivery of powerful, yet easy-to-use, reporting tools developed by higher education experts.”
Engineer Hisham Darwish, Naseej’s Regional Manager in Lebanon, Jordan and North Africa, said: “The Argos system’s advanced features will support the University's reporting capabilities through optional modules that can improve the appearance, flexibility, ease of access and delivery of real-time reports. In addition, an online library containing pre-designed reports and data blocks enables fast and cost-effective implementation."
Naseej will provide training to users of the system through a team that is experienced in providing solid services on the ground to Arab universities and institutions.
