The Ministry of Culture has selected Naseej for Technology, a regional leader in digital transformation in learning, culture, and knowledge management, to develop and enhance the Culture Portal and to establish the Kingdom’s first Digitization Lab and Long-Term Digital Preservation Repository.
This landmark initiative supports the Ministry’s mission to preserve Saudi heritage and foster a prosperous cultural future in line with Vision 2030. It marks a pivotal step in safeguarding Saudi Arabia’s cultural legacy through advanced digitization, ensuring its accessibility and preservation for future generations.
This collaboration underscores the Ministry’s strategic role in digitizing Saudi cultural assets and ensuring their long-term preservation for future generations, strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a regional leader in cultural innovation and sustainability.
Project Scope and Objectives
Under the agreement, Naseej will deliver a comprehensive suite of consulting and technology services to advance the Ministry’s digital infrastructure for cultural governance and knowledge preservation. The project includes:
- Developing the Culture Portal Platform to serve as a unified gateway for Saudi cultural content, institutions, and initiatives.
- Delivering consulting services for building a central registry and developing policies and manuals for cultural heritage content management.
- Establishing and operating the long-term digital preservation repository to ensure sustainable archiving and access to digital assets.
- Developing and implementing a marketing and media strategy to promote cultural awareness and public engagement.
