Ministry of Culture and Naseej: A Partnership of Trust Preserving the Red Sea Museum’s Collections

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – September 2026

As Saudi Arabia continues to advance the preservation of its cultural heritage, the Ministry of Culture has extended its collaboration with Naseej for Technology to undertake additional specialized work on the Red Sea Museum’s collections. The renewed engagement reflects the Ministry’s continued trust in Naseej and reinforces a long-term success partnership built on proven delivery, specialized expertise, and a shared commitment to safeguarding Saudi Arabia’s cultural heritage.

Building on the work already delivered, Naseej will advance the next phase of the museum’s collections program through specialized conservation and restoration, preventive treatment and maintenance, condition assessment, collections management, cataloging, and documentation.

The expanded scope also includes documenting objects within the collections facility and producing professional visual records through scanning, technical image processing, rights-managed two-dimensional photography, and three-dimensional object photography.

These activities will create accurate, structured records for the museum’s objects while supporting their physical preservation, operational readiness, and sustainable management. This foundation will enable their future use in research, interpretation, exhibition, and public engagement.

The renewed collaboration goes beyond the continuation of technical work. It reflects Naseej’s role as a long-term success partner to the Ministry, supporting the complete journey from collection care and documentation to institutional readiness, sustainable access to cultural heritage, and meaningful public engagement.

Commenting on the project extension, Eng. Othman Al-Abdulkarim, CEO of Naseej for Technology, said: “Cultural collections are strategic national assets that connect identity, knowledge, and future generations. Our continued work with the Ministry of Culture reflects its confidence in Naseej’s ability to support cultural institutions in safeguarding and activating these assets. As a long-term success partner, we combine specialized expertise, proven practices, and sustained institutional support to strengthen collections management and expand their contribution to research, education, and public engagement—advancing the Kingdom’s cultural ambitions.”

For more than three decades, Naseej has served cultural and knowledge institutions across the region. This engagement marks another milestone in its established relationship with the Ministry of Culture and demonstrates Naseej’s ability to deliver highly specialized, large-scale cultural projects.
