Riyadh, August 2011, Naseej, the leading knowledge management solutions provider in the Middle East, announced that it has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Culture and Information (MOCI) to apply the global Autonomy system to enable the MOCI to detect, store and analyze satellite channels.
MOCI will be able to detect, store and analyze channels from the live broadcasting source that is, satellites. It will further be able to extract the audio content from video clips, convert it into texts concurrent with the original video, and then translate it into Arabic from more than five languages. This process is carried out through search and retrieval of known and stored information sources on an as-needs basis.
The Autonomy system enables an index to be compiled of the sound texts extracted from the video clips, and searches to be conducted of key words or concepts mentioned in the texts. The system allows any part of the stored clips to be searched, providing easy access through specific entry words, or general concepts or expressions. Moreover, the system enables access to any relevant text or video.
