In collaboration with University of Wasit – Iraq – Naseej has organized an intensive workshop on the implementation of E-Government across state institutions. The workshop was inaugurated by the University President Dr. Talib Mohaibes and attended by the university’s Admission, Registration, IT and Finance Staff, as well as representatives of the provincial departments.

In this workshop, Naseej has showcased its latest solutions including; Campus Management, Unified University Portal, and Library Management Solutions. Moreover, Naseej has presented the cutting edge Desire2Learn LMS, one of the most robust e-learning management systems enabling limitless horizons of innovative learning. Naseej has also exhibited Banner Student Information System, which is considered the most prestigious SIS all over the world.

In his address to the audience, Dr. Mohaibes stressed “The use of the latest learning technologies surely allows universities and academic institutions to contribute effectively to the development, progress and interaction with local, regional and global stakeholders.” Dr. Mohaibes also called on activating the concept of e-government at Wasit University and connecting the university’s various departments with the presidency to better enhance the ongoing progress.

On his part, Eng. Abdullah Al Turaif – Naseej V.P. – stated; “This is the first workshop on University e-Governance using world-class solutions from global providers. It’s also the second after the Education and Technology workshop organized by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in June 2013; whence Naseej has started to contribute to the development process of Iraqi universities.

The workshop focused on two major themes, first; introducing the concept of e-government, the use of middleware as well as the stages of e-government transition, second; Unified Digital Campus and the e-Learning systems for higher education institutions. The workshop asserted the need to implement transformation strategies towards e-learning based on established technical and technological expertise provided by reliable partners in the field. In this regards, Naseej enjoys a very promising future in Iraq market taking into account reconstruction process undergoing now there.”
