Dr. Hassan EL-Sereihy – former President of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information and professor of Information Science at King Abdulaziz University – received “Naseej Library Pioneers Award” at the 25th Conference of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information (AFLI 2014), organized in collaboration with the National Library, Tunisia, held October 28–30, 2014, Tunisia.
 
Dr. EL-Sereihy received this award in recognition of his leading role during his presidency of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information. He worked hard on the development of performance through effective continuous activities – such as conferences, forums, workshops; in addition to recognized intellectual production in terms of books, journals, conference papers and various honors awarded to researchers, thinkers, and authors. In his tenure, Dr. El-Sereihy associated the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information with various professional and academic bodies worldwide. 
 
The award was presented to Dr. El-Sereihy during the opening session of AFLI 2014 by H.E. Dr. Mourad Sakli – Tunisian Minister of Culture, Dr. Khalid Al-Halabi – current President of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information and Eng. Abdullah Al Turaifi – Naseej VP.
