An intensive professional training workshop held at Al-Baha University on September 30, 2013, instructed members of the Saudi Consortium of Academic Libraries on the use and benefits of the university’s digital library and information resources. The course, jointly organized by Naseej – the Arab world’s leader in Knowledge Solutions and Services – and the Saudi Digital Library, was well attended by students and faculty, researchers and staff of the university.

The program featured two lectures elaborating on the available information resources and professional databases Naseej offers to academic libraries, including EBSCO and CABI. Naseej databases cover a range of disciplines, including agriculture, animal and veterinary science, environmental sciences, human health, food, nutrition, computers, healthcare, medicine and technology, among many others.

In addition, attendees were given a live demonstration of how to conduct a database search using various search options, as well as how to review the search results, translate articles, and email and print results. The training sessions produced fruitful discussion and useful interactions among the participants.
