The Ministry of Health (MOH) e-Services Portal has been named the top-ranking e-government portal in the KSA for the second consecutive year. Twelve government entities participated in the assessment of compliance with UN Standards for Government Portals and Digital Content Management, as part of the KSA‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎s initiative to upgrade its position in the UN‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎s Global E-Government Readiness Report 2014. Last year, the MOH Portal was ranked first against nine other competitors after entering into a strategic partnership with Naseej – the Arab world’s leader inEnterprise Portal Solutions and e-Services – to develop and operate its e-Services Portal.
 
Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Muhammad Jamil Mullah congratulated His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, on the efforts of the team responsible for providing content for the MOH Portal, the quality of which is reflected in the achievement of a second #1 ranking. Eng. Mulla expressed the wish that the achievement would contribute to raising the Kingdom’s ranking in the UN Global E-Government Readiness Report 2014.
 
In this context, Naseej has provided the necessary solutions and services for the development, operation and management of the MOH Portal, including: digital content development and management (English and Arabic), communication and interaction with users, as well as all related work involving MOH offices, departments and hospitals across the Kingdom, in addition to compiling a detailed description of the available e-services.
 
In line with its vision to develop a comprehensive healthcare system that will ensure the highest level of healthcare services for Saudi citizens and foreign residents, the MOH is implementing a number of e-health programs, including the introduction of a Health Information System (HIS) in all hospitals across the KSA, and a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). The Ministry has also adopted Cloud Computing Technology, the Epidemiological Surveillance System (HESN), and systems for managing Pre-marital Screening, Neonatal Protection, e-Poison Control and e-Telemedicine.
 
Commenting on this achievement, Eng. Abdullah Al Turaifi – Naseej VP – said: “This rank won by the Ministry of Health confirms that MOH and Naseej are able not only to achieve excellence but also to maintain it through incessant collaboration towards improvement. The content of the Ministry’s portal is characterized by compliance with the cutting-edge, internationally recognized standards, thus enabling it to compete with world-class portals.”
