Naseej the Arab world’s leader in Knowledge Management Solutions was the strategic sponsor of the 20th GCC e-Government and e-Services Conference, organized by Datamatix and held May 1721, 2014, at the Ritz Carlton, Dubai, UAE.
A highlight of the conference was the presentation of the results of an empirical study conducted jointly by Naseej and IWAN Research Group. The study, the first of its kind in the region, is entitled “Usability Evaluation Report for Selected Saudi E-Government Services”. The presentation was made by Dr. Hend Suliman Al-Khalifa, associate professor with the Information Technology Department, College of Computer and Information Sciences, King Saud University, Riyadh, KSA. In her lecture, Dr. Hend stressed that the strategic aim of the study was to develop a set of design guidelines and best practices for e-government services, in order to boost user interaction and maximize the benefits of such services. The lecture was well attended, with the attentive audience indicating their appreciation of the study s findings and recommendations.
Unlike other studies in the same field, the NaseejIWAN study focuses on how local users interact with a number of available e-government services. It highlights yet another way in which Naseej continuously supports efforts to achieve global best practices in the development of e-services and e-government web portals in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States.
