Naseej the Arab world’s leader in Knowledge Management Solutions – has successfully concluded its gold sponsorship of the Arab States Research and Education Network’s 4th Annual Conference, “ASREN e-Age 2014”. The event, organized by the Omani Research Council (TRC) under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Taimur Bin Asad Al Said, TRC’s Assistant Secretary-General, International Cooperation, was held on December 10,11, 2014, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Muscat, Oman.

ASREN e-Age 2014 focused on the “Intercontinental Connectivity of the Pan Arab Network” as the main theme of the event. Special attention and more focus were given to users and how this e-Infrastructure can support the needs of users in terms of services and applications, on top of connectivity. ASREN provides a strategic environment “e-Age” that connects researchers, academics and users across the Arab States with their counterparts worldwide.

Naseej participated in the conference discussions through two sessions. The first session focused on “The Power of Predictive Analytics to Drive the Path to Graduation”, facilitated by D2L Senior Advisory Consultant Mr. Michael Moore. Mr. Moor explored predictive analytics potential for early intervention and course recommendations to ensure learners’ success and timely graduation. The second session dealt with “Disruptive Technologies Change the Face of Higher Education”, presented by Mohammed Husamaddin, Director of Knowledge Assets Management at Naseej. Mr. Husamaddin presented a suggested framework for higher education institutions to balance between organizational efficiency and effectiveness using strategic approach to technology.

At the exhibition held alongside the conference, Naseej showcased the Brightspace Integrated Learning Platform from D2L.
