Naseej launches an AI based virtual tutor dubbed “itcan” to support mastery of learning and training material

“itcan” provides a unique learning experience for learners that’s intuitive, adaptive and tailored to their individual needs

Riyadh, July 2023, Naseej – a leading digital transformation solutions provider- announced the launch of “itcan” an AI based virtual tutor service to transform individuals learning and training. Launched in an Alpha version, “itcan” is designed to adapt to each user’s unique learning style, pace, and preferences, whereby the AI tutor analyzes data on user interactions, performance, and feedback in order provide personalized recommendations and targeted assistance, ensuring maximum engagement and retention of course material. The term “itcan” is derived from the Arabic word for “mastery”, which the virtual tutor aims to achieve by assisting user to “master” learning & training curricula.

“We’re thrilled to introduce our AI virtual tutor service; with full Arabic language support, we believe (itcan) has the potential to transform the way people learn and acquire knowledge” said Abduljabbar Alabduljabbar, Naseej CEO.
“By harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, we aim to empower individuals and partners in both the education and enterprise sectors to achieve their learning goals efficiently and effectively” Mr. Alabduljabbar added.

From his part, Mr. Othman Alabdulkarim, VP of sales at Naseej, commented on this announcement by saying “providing an adaptive learning experience customized to the needs of the learner, effectively bridging learning & skills gaps, has always been an aspiration for organizations; we believe that (itcan) has the potential to bridge this gap and accelerate learning objectives and enable learners to more effectively absorb learning material”.

The AI virtual tutor also includes unique features such as natural language processing capabilities, enabling learners to ask questions and receive instant, tailored responses. The tutor’s adaptive learning path ensures that users receive the right content at the right time, making learning engaging and enjoyable. The service is also equipped with an extensive library of interactive lessons, quizzes, and practice exercises, learners can deepen their understanding, reinforce concepts, and track their progress over time.

Furthermore, Naseej plans to integrate the virtual tutor into its MEDAD Cloud suite of platforms, particularly MEDAD Training management and learning management platforms that targets higher education and enterprise learning. As part of the Alpha version launch, interested users can try the service and provide feedback, which will go into the development of the beta version of itcan slated for launch in Q4 2023.

itcan is the second service launched this year via Naseej Innovation Lab, which is the research & innovation unit within Naseej – tasked with conceptualizing and developing state-of-the-art Dx technologies including AI, Machine Learning, and Robotics, with the potential of both commercial and research use. Earlier in June of this year Naseej Innovation Lab launched the AI Arabic Language Model “Noon” as an open-source initiative empowering Arabic developers to drive Arabic AI advancements and Arabic-based AI offerings and products.
