The project was executed through direct acquisition from the Cairo International Book Fair 2026, enhancing content quality and elevating collection management efficiency in line with global best practices.
This initiative builds on a longstanding institutional collaboration, reflecting Naseej’s deep expertise in collection development and its ongoing commitment to supporting libraries in building sustainable knowledge ecosystems driven by high-quality content and efficient access.
Naseej implemented a structured and integrated methodology, beginning with an in-depth analysis of user needs and the development of carefully curated selection lists. This was followed by advanced validation processes within the library system to ensure alignment with collection development policies and standards.
Naseej team managed the full acquisition lifecycle, from on-the-ground evaluation at the book fair through inventory verification, sorting, and quality control to procurement, shipment preparation, delivery, and final receipt. The process was completed with detailed, data-driven reporting documenting received titles and quantities, as well as excluded or damaged items, ensuring strong governance of collection management and enabling data-driven decision-making.
This comprehensive approach has enabled the library to provide up-to-date, reliable content, improve access to knowledge, and enhance the user experience. It further reinforces the library’s role as a key driver of reading, research, and innovation, while strengthening its position as a global hub for knowledge and culture.
